Brighton based duo Blood Red Shoes have announced dates for an April UK tour.
Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell return this year with their fourth album - out on March 3 - and new single ‘An Animal’. 'Blood Red Shoes’, produced entirely by the duo themselves, follows 2008 album ‘Box of Secrets’, 2010's ‘Fire Like This’ and 2012's ‘In Time to Voices’.
Speaking about the new dates, Steven says:
“This tour comes nearly a year and a half since our last UK shows so it'll be great to finally get back into it on home turf. The new album is full of songs that we've been aching to play live since we finished recording, so April can't come around soon enough for us. We've also decided to ban bass players from the stage and hook up two of our favourite bands of the moment as our revolving supports - we've got DZ Deathrays and Slaves playing every night, so it's a two-piece guitar and drums overload tour. Intensity in ten cities”
The dates will be the band’s first since playing a sold-out show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire last January and, as mentioned, will feature DZ Deathrays and Slaves as rotating main support acts.
