Thursday, 30 January 2014 Written by Jon Stickler

Tickets for Garth Brooks' three concerts at Dublin's Croke Park have sold out within 90 minutes.

Tickets for the country superstar's shows went on sale at 9am this morning, Thursday January 30, with Aiken Promotions announcing a third date a short time afterwards to meet the huge demand.

Over 200,000 tickets, costing 65 euros each, were made available for the three shows which go ahead on July 25, 26 and 27, ahead ahead of the 51-year old's world tour. The original two dates sold out within 1 hour, while tickets for the third show were snapped up in just 30 minutes.

With a huge amount of fans scrambling for tickets online, the sheer numbers of people queuing meant long waits. Other fans have been camping outside Irish music shops for days, with long queues reported in Belfast, Dungannon, Cork, Limerick, Dundalk, Galway and Dublin.
