Seven More Acts Confirmed For Bloodstock 2014

Tuesday, 11 March 2014 Written by Jon Stickler

Hot on the heels of last week’s band announcement, Bloodstock have revealed a further seven bands locked in to play at Catton Park this August.

Citing varied influences from John Coltrane to Nine Inch Nails, Norwegian “blackjazz” act Shining will bring their avant garde mix of jazz, prog, and metal to the main Ronnie James Dio Stage on Friday. While over on the Sophie Lancaster Stage, folk metal pioneers, Skyclad, who played the first ever Bloodstock at Derby’s Assembly Rooms back in 2001, are looking forward to getting a ‘jig-pit’ going once again at BOA 2014.

Also raising havoc on the Sophie Stage on Friday are Brit riffmeisters, Krokodil, featuring members of Gallows, Cry For Silence, Sikth, and Hexes. Meanwhile, London heavy rock ruffians The Mercy House have nabbed a spot on Saturday’s Sophie Stage.

Sunday’s line up on the Sophie Lancaster Stage is shaping up nicely too. Swedish hellraisers, Avatar, melo-death Brummies Morgue Orgy and Brit post-punk hardcore crew October File are all added to the bill.

Bloodstock Tickets are on sale now priced £130 for a 4-day Thursday to Sunday weekend pass with camping. Look up all the ticket options and details of the full line up over at bloodstock.uk.com.

Bloodstock will be held at Catton Park, Derbyshire on August 7 to 10, 2014.
