ArcTanGent Announces This Will Destroy You As 2014 Headliner

Wednesday, 19 March 2014 Written by Ben Bland

ArcTanGent announce This Will Destroy You as a festival headliner. The announcement comes via way of video made in conjunction with 7bitarcade and Laughing Duck Productions.

This Will Destroy You will join Russian Circles at the top of the bill for this summer’s ArcTanGent festival. The performance will be a UK festival exclusive, whilst Russian Circles’ performance will be their only festival appearance in Europe this summer. This is expected to add a further international draw to the festival which last year saw a large proportion of overseas visitors travelling from across Europe and beyond to witness ArcTanGent’s unique math-rock and post-rock inspired line up.

The final remaining headliner will be revealed in the coming weeks. Goc O'Callaghan of ArcTanGent says:

“Last week’s Russian Circles video announcement went down so well and created so much excitement that we decided to create another one, for This Will Destroy You. Combining footage from last year’s festival with an announcement has definitely encouraged ticket sales and 2014 is already going to be bigger and better than last year. These festival exclusives mean that for fans of This Will Destroy You and Russian Circles, ArcTanGent is literally the only place to be this summer.”

This Will Destroy You and Russian Circles join an already strong line up of UK and international bands including Jamie Lenman, Tera Melos, Lite, Maybeshewill, Mutiny on the Bounty, Her Name is Calla and Fen. The likes of And So I Watch You From Afar and Three Trapped Tigers, meanwhile, will play the special Thursday early entry night of bands who also played the festival last year.

This year’s festival takes place from August 28-30, 2014. For more information and for tickets visit arctangent.co.ukVisit 7bitarcade here and Laughing Duck Productions here.
