Black Sabbath have been confirmed to headline the opening night of British Summer Time at Hyde Park on July 4.

After a successful arena tour late last year, the legendary Ozzy Osborne and his bandmates, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi, will be headlining the same stage that fellow rock legends the Rolling Stones graced for two historic gigs last year. Joining Sabbath are Soundgarden and Faith No More.

Ozzy had this to say:

"The first time I came to London I didn't have a pot to piss in and I spent the advance I got for the first album on a new pair of shoes and some Brut aftershave...We are beyond honoured to be allowed to put on a show and hope that the Royals will enjoy the it!"

Support for the show will come from Motorhead, Wolfmother, Soulfly, Gallows, Hell, Kobra and the Lotus, Bo Ningen, Rise To Remain, Broken Hands and more join the day lineup.

Tickets for Black Sabbath at Hyde Park are on sale on April 4 at 9am, priced from £69 + fees.
