Ed Sheeran has unveiled his brand new single - Sing.
The track premiered across radio worldwide last night and is now available to pre-order in the UK. It’s the very first new music to be unveiled from the Suffolk native’s forthcoming album 'X' which is set for release on June 23.
The new single was recorded in New York’s Jungle City studios after Ed bumped into the song’s producer Pharrell at an industry awards. Ed says of the experience:
“Pharrell really pushes you and wants you to do the best thing possible. So you don’t go for the first thing he plays… Pharrell must have been on about his 17th idea when he played me this beat. I don’t really get jazz chords and this felt like one of them. Instinctively, I dismissed it, but I had a guitar in my hand and started playing that riff absent-mindedly. From that moment, I was playing that song and… we just pieced it all together.”
