Tinie Tempah has shared the video for his new single, 5 Minutes, set for release on June 2 via Parlophone.
Taken from his second album ‘Demonstration’, 5 Minutes is an unexpected collaboration which was produced by Zane Lowe. The idea originated when Zane Lowe approached Tinie while they were both on tour in Australia.
As Tinie recalls:
“I’d been playing Zane some of the album, and he goes ‘Hey, I know this is going to sound weird, but I actually have something for you’. I was like ‘Oh no, what have I done. He’s one of the biggest DJs in the country, he’s gonna play me something, I’m not gonna like it, I’m gonna have to say yes, take the beat, and I’m never going to do anything with it’. Luckily, as soon as he played it I was like ‘Oh fuck! Yeah, I’m very up for this.’”
Tinie’s upcoming tour schedule includes numerous UK summer festival shows, including headline sets at Party at the Proact, Wireless, Leicester Music Festival and Sundown Festival.
