Prince Rolls Out New Material At Birmingham Tour Opener

Prince ran through a number of new songs slated to appear on his 'PLECTRUMELECTRUM' album during the opening night of the second leg of his Hit and Run Tour.
Backed by 3RDEYEGIRL, the funk legend slipped the album's title track, FUNKNROLL and PRETZELBODYLOGIC, played fully live for the first time, into his set at Birmingham's LG Arena alongside classic cuts. He arrived on stage some 40 minutes late, though, having only landed in the UK yesterday.
The tour, which follows up a series of impromptu London and Manchester dates earlier this year, will now head to Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds, with a return to Birmingham also lined up on May 19.
