Paul McCartney has been forced to cancel his Japanese tour due to illness.
The former Beatle has been prescribed 'complete rest' by doctors after coming down with a virus, causing dates at Tokyo's National Stadium and Budokan and one in Osaka to be shelved.
In a statement, McCartney said:
"I was really looking forward to playing in Japan again after we had such an amazing time here in November. So to cancel these shows as well as the National Stadium shows is hugely disappointing for me as well. I'd like to thank my Japanese fans for their love, messages of support and understanding. I hope to see you all again soon."
Meanwhile, McCartney recently released a new video, directed by Andre Chocron, to accompany Appreciate, a song taken from his recent 'New' album.
