Pink Floyd Announce 'Division Bell' Reissue

Tuesday, 20 May 2014 Written by Huw Baines

Pink Floyd will reissue ‘The Division Bell’ on June 30 to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary.

Having teased fans with a countdown clock and Twitter hashtag, the prog legends have now confirmed that their 1994 sign-off, recorded by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, will receive the box set treatment.

Gilmour said of the album at the time of release:

"The three of us went into Britannia Row studios, and improvised for two weeks. Playing together and starting from scratch was interesting and exciting, it kick started the album and the process was very good, it was collaborative and felt more cohesive."

Included in the collection will be a double LP edition of the album, remastered from the original tapes by Doug Sax, 7” copies of Take It Back and High Hopes, also present here as a 12”, the 2011 Discovery remaster and a Blu-Ray disc containing the record in HD audio and a 5.1 surround mix by Andy Jackson.
