Kaiser Chiefs Confirmed To Open Glastonbury

Thursday, 26 June 2014 Written by Huw Baines

Kaiser Chiefs have been confirmed to open proceedings at Glastonbury on Friday, ending speculation about the identity of the festival’s special guests.

The indie troupe, who put out ‘Education, Education, Education and War’ earlier this year, will take to the Other Stage at 11am on Friday before headlining the John Peel Stage later in the day.

Glastonbury will be headlined by Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian. Last year, Liam Gallagher and Beady Eye took on the mantle of kicking off the festival with a surprise set.
