Alvvays have released a new video for Archie, Marry Me.
A highlight from their recent self-titled debut, the song has now been given the Super-8 treatment by directors Gavin Keen and Allison Johnston. Molly Rankin, the band’s vocalist, said:
“So we made another Super-8 video, one where we take 'take the plunge' to the logical extreme. The camera exploded at sea so we neutralised the black battery goo with vinegar and kept shooting. My hasty retreat via doggy-paddle was left on the cutting room floor. Go figure."
Alvvays will play a trio of London shows - at Visions Festival, Birthdays and Rough Trade - in the coming days and have also been confirmed as support for Real Estate’s October UK dates.
