Foo Fighters have confirmed will release their eighth album, ‘Sonic Highways’, on November 10.
Produced alongside Butch Vig, the collection is the follow up to ‘Wasting Light’ and chronicles the band’s journey through eight US cities: Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC and New York. Dave Grohl said:
"This album is instantly recognisable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it. I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our ‘sound'."
The album will be accompanied by a HBO documentary of the same name, with a snippet of new music currently streaming on their website. Meanwhile, the Foos will return to the UK next month to headline the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in London.
Foo Fighters Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:
Sun September 14 2014 - LONDON Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
