Valley Life: Breathe In The Silence's Merthyr Rock Playlist

“It's an awesome event and to have such massive bands playing in the valleys of south Wales just shows what can be done,” Adam Williams, frontman of Breathe In The Silence, said. His band will take to the stage at Merthyr Rock on Sunday, helping to open proceedings prior to the arrival of Taking Back Sunday, Reel Big Fish, Anti-Flag and local favourites the Blackout.
The festival is back in action as a one-day event after a two-year hiatus, with Breathe In The Silence one of a number of home grown acts set to rub shoulders with bands who helped to define alternative music for a generation.
They’ll open the Young Promoters’ Network (YPN) stage, with En Garde, Continents, When We Were Wolves, Falling With Style and Reaper in Sicily set to follow at Cyfarthfa Park.
“The guys in YPN are making big things happen in their small community,” Nathan Campfield, the band’s lead guitarist, added. “They are a collective of hardworking, inspired young people with a passion for music. We can't thank them enough for the opportunities they've given us and can see them growing bigger and better as time goes on.”
