Mercury Prize Nominees To Be Announced On September 10

Monday, 01 September 2014 Written by Huw Baines

The shortlist for the Mercury Prize will be announced on September 10.

The latest batch of hopefuls will be confirmed by Alice Levine at London’s Hospital Club next week, with the winner set to be unveiled at the Roundhouse on October 29.

As ever, an independent panel will whittle down the contenders, with albums released by British and Irish artists between September 10, 2013 and September 8 this year up for consideration.

Last year, the prize was taken home by James Blake, for his second album, ‘Overgrown’.
