Don McLean will play Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall and Edinburgh's Usher Hall in May 2015.
The American singer-songwriter, famous for his magnum opus, American Pie, a sprawling ballad inspired partly by the deaths of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and JP Richardson, the Big Bopper, will perform in Glasgow and Edinburgh on May 26 and 27 respectively next year.
Tickets are on sale at 9am on September 5, priced between £25.00 and £27.50, plus fees.
