Dave Grohl has promised that it "won’t be too long" until Foo Fighters return to the UK again.
The band headlined the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in London last night, with Grohl saying prior to their final song, Everlong:
“Thank you very much for making this one of the most special occasions of our lives. I can’t wait to come back and play for you again. It won’t be too long.”
Foo Fighters had earlier played a trio of surprise club shows, with Grohl mentioning a possible return to Wembley Stadium in an aside during their set at Brighton’s Concorde 2.
‘Sonic Highways’, the Foos’ eighth album, is expected on November 10 and will be preceded by a HBO documentary of the same name.
