Sam Smith dominated the MOBO awards at London’s SSE Arena Wembley last night.
The soul star scooped four gongs, for Best Soul/R&B Act, Best Album, for 'In The Lonely Hour', Best Song, for Stay With Me, and Best Male, with Jessie J taking Best Female and Krept and Konan winning Best Hip Hop.
Ella Eyre was named Best Newcomer, Fuse ODG Best African Act and Beyoncé Best International, with Stormzy landing the Best Grime prize. Stylo G took home Best Reggae Act, while the gospel category was won by the Living Faith Connection Choir and jazz by Zara McFarlane.
Finally, That’s Not Me, by Skepta ft J.M.E, was named Best Video and Idris Elba, star of The Wire and Luther, was named MOBO Inspiration.
