Field Day organisers have hinted that Patti Smith will play the London festival next summer.
Having already confirmed that reformed shoegazers Ride will head to Victoria Park for the Sunday, missives from their Twitter account suggest that Smith will be joining them as the 40th anniversary of ‘Horses’ rolls around.
As DIY point out, references to the punk legend’s work, from Because The Night lyrics, to sheet music from Gloria and an image of Redondo Beach, have been appearing in the last 24 hours.
