Joanna Gruesome have won the Welsh Music Prize for their debut, 'Weird Sister'.

The art-punks saw off competition from 9 Bach, Cate Le Bon, Euros Childs, Future of the Left, Gruff Rhys, Gulp, Manic Street Preachers, Samoans, Slowly Rolling Camera, The Gentle Good and The People The Poet to take the award at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre.

They succeed Georgia Ruth, who took home last year’s prize for ‘Week of Pines’, her debut.
