Glastonbury, The Libertines Among Winners At UK Festival Awards

Glastonbury took home the prize for Best Major Festival at the UK Festival Awards last night, with awards also reserved for the Libertines, Wolf Alice and Bestival chief Rob Da Bank.

In addition to Glastonbury’s win, a public vote handed gongs to We Are FSTVL and The Zoo Project as Best Medium Sized Festival and Best Small Festival respectively, while The Secret Festival was named Best New Festival.

Live At Leeds took the Metropolitan award, Camp Bestival the Family prize, Leopallooza the Grass Roots category and Creamfields the Dance section, with V Festival winning the coveted Best Toilets vote.

The Libertines, meanwhile, won Headline Performance of the Year for their British Summer Time set, with Wolf Alice named Best Breakthrough Artist. Line Up of the Year went to Festival No.6 after consultation with industry experts, who also handed the Outstanding Contribution to Festivals Award to Rob Da Bank.
