Charli XCX, Clean Bandit To Top MTV Brand New Shows

Charli XCX and Clean Bandit will headline MTV Brand New showcases at London’s Islington Assembly Hall in the new year.
James Bay and Sinead Harnett, nominees for the 2015 Brand New award, will join Charli XCX on January 28, following the release of ‘Sucker', while the following day will see Years & Years and Saint Raymond open for Clean Bandit.
The shortlist also includes George the Poet, Melissa Steel, Nothing But Thieves, Becky Hill, Krept and Konan and Sunset Sons, with the winner set to be announced on January 30.
Charli XCX said: “MTV have been so supportive of me, I was super excited to be a part of MTV Brand New back in 2012 when I was just starting out, so to perform at the January showcase is a really nice feeling for me. It's really important to champion new music and new artists early on, so I think it's great that MTV Brand New can act as a platform for such incredible talent.”
Tickets for the shows will be allocated through competitions and giveaways by the TV network, who will also broadcast them on February 10.
Meanwhile, Charli XCX will hit the road next spring for shows in Brighton, London, Glasgow, Sheffield, Oxford, Manchester, Nottingham and Birmingham.
