Calexico To Release New Album 'Edge Of The Sun' In April

Calexico have revealed plans to release their ninth album, 'Edge Of The Sun', on April 13 via City Slang.
The Arizona-based rock band was inspired to write the album by a trip to Mexico City. Vocalist and guitarist Joey Burns explains:
Going to another city to jumpstart the creative process helped us to know what this record is about and where we are as a band, like an open canvas with few ties to normal routines when recording and writing
The album boasts contributions from Iron & Wine's Sam Beam and Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell, among others.

Following this the band embark on a European tour this spring, on which they will play four UK shows.
