Pretty Vicious - Miners' Institute, Blackwood - January 30 2015 (Photo Gallery)

Monday, 02 February 2015 Written by Craig Thomas

A matter of hours after sticking a cap on the hype surrounding them by announcing a deal with Virgin EMI, Pretty Vicious hit the stage at Blackwood Miners’ Institute.

The Merthyr indie quartet, who are all still in their teens despite being mentioned in the same breath as Oasis, are currently on the road with the Hearts for a string of shows, which will take them to Wrexham, Ebbw Vale, Chester and Cardiff in the coming days, before sets at Brighton’s Great Escape and the Isle of Wight festival.

We sent our intrepid photographer, Craig Thomas of Tallboy Images, along to catch both sets at the Miners’ Institute, while you can check out Cave Song, Pretty Vicious’ calling card, here.

Head here for more photo galleries, including the Gaslight Anthem’s Motorpoint affair and Kasabian's Cardiff celebration last year.
