Queen Kwong Announce Four Free London Shows

Friday, 13 February 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Queen Kwong will play four free London shows next week.

Queen Kwong, the brainchild of LA based musician Carré Callaway, will play The Old Blue Last on February 17, The Stillery on February 18, Upstairs at The Garage on February 20 and Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on February 21.

The band currently consists of Callaway, Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit, Hayden Scott who has played with AWOLNATION and the New Regime and Fred Sablan who has played bass for Marilyn Manson.

Queen Kwong's new album was produced and co-written with Joe Cardamone of Icarus Line. Nothing on the album was pre-written, all songs were improvised, with the exception of the Elvis cover. Callaway and Cardamone played all of the instruments and free-styled the lyrics. There were rehearsals, however, everything was recorded in one take at a rate of a song a day.

While we await further details of the new record, a follow up to Queen Kwong's Bad Lieutenant EP, check out last year's video for Bad Lieutenant below.
