At The Gates Announced As Damnation 2015 Headliners

Tuesday, 17 February 2015 Written by Ben Bland

At the Gates have been confirmed as the first headliners for this November’s edition of Damnation Festival, held as usual at Leeds University Students' Union.

The Swedish death metal legends, having returned last year with ‘At War with Reality’, will top the Jägermeister Stage in the 11th year of the event.

The festival, which will have a slightly reduced capacity after attendees last year expressed their concerns over congestion, will take place on November 7 with tickets frozen at £36.00, the same price as last year’s event.

Festival director Gavin McInally said:

"We plan to, once again, deliver the best line-up of music the UK will see this year at a cost to our fans which is also unrivalled, and having At The Gates as our first announcement can be taken as a statement of our intent for 2015. Our capacity has been decreased, our ticket prices will remain the same and by the time we've completed our four stages of, we fully expect another sold out day of Damnation this November."

At the Gates added:

"We are very happy to announce that At The Gates will be a part of the Damnation Festival 2015. Especially fun to be back on Yorkshire soil where it all started back in the day on Deaf/Peaceville Records. See you there folks!"

Tickets are available now from damnationfestival.co.uk. Twenty-six bands across four stages are still to be announced.
