Ed Sheeran Scoops Two Brit Awards Including Best Album Prize

Ed Sheeran took home two Brit awards at a glitzy O2 Arena awards show, including the coveted British Album of the Year prize for his second record, ‘X’.
The singer-songwriter, who is set to play stadium shows in London and Dublin this summer, also scooped British Male Solo Artist, while Sam Smith won British Breakthrough Act and the Global Success Award. Paloma Faith, meanwhile, was named British Female Solo Artist.
Kanye West topped a bill of performers featuring International Female Solo Artist award winner Taylor Swift, while there were also wins for Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars (British Single for Uptown Funk), Royal Blood (British Group), Pharrell Williams (International Male Solo Artist), Foo Fighters (International Group), Paul Epworth (British Producer of the Year) and One Direction (British Artist Video of the Year).
