Devonté Hynes and Neneh Cherry have released He, She, Me, a new collaboration commissioned by Selfridges.
A video for the song, which “explores a visual response to the idea of Agender”, has been produced by directors Kathryn Ferguson and Alex Turvey. "Agender is being free to explore who you are. Not man, not woman, but person," Cherry said. Ferguson added:
"The film is an evolving journey through a subtle push and pull between masculinity and femininity, captured entirely in one unbroken shot, utilising in-camera camera effects in a world populated by out-scaled physical props inspired by Faye Toogood's in store realisation of Agender. This film has come at a time when important conversations about gender fluidity and non-binary ways of being are finally getting a lot of attention."
Meanwhile, Cherry will join Four Tet at the Laundry in March and pop up at Bestival this summer.
