Bloc Party's Kele Okereke Confirms The Band Will Return With Fifth Album

Tuesday, 17 March 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Bloc Party's Kele Okereke has confirmed the band will return from their hiatus with a fifth album.

The quartet's last LP, 'Four', was released in 2012 and, a year later, Bloc Party announced they would be going on indefinite hiatus. In a recent interview with Australian radio station Triple-J the frontman confirmed the band were working on a new record. He said:

"This record feels like an evolution of where we were. So far there's nothing that I can compare it to really, in terms of other musicians, whereas in the past I always could. We're at the writing/recording phase. We have about 18 ideas and I think we're going to lay them down properly in the next few months."

Check out the full interview and a new track, Exes, below.
