Jack White will play a series of pop up acoustic shows across five US states before taking an extended break from playing live.
The former White Stripes man put out ‘Lazaretto’, his sophomore solo record, last year and is currently gearing up for a second headline set at Coachella. Following that he’ll be joined by Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis for a stripped-back tour of states that he is yet to perform in.
“After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time,” a statement read.
It continued: “The shows will be totally acoustic and amplified only with ribbon microphones to the audience as well. These shows will be the very first totally acoustic full concerts Jack has done.”
Details of each date will be announced at 8am local time on the morning of the show, with tickets on sale four hours later for $3: “First come, first served and cash only.”
