Errol Brown, frontman of Hot Chocolate, has died aged 71.

His manager, Phil Dale, confirmed that the vocalist had been suffering from liver cancer and died at home in the Bahamas. Dale, quoted by the Press Association, said:

“There was always music around wherever he was. I’ve been with him in the middle of Australia and he has got an idea for a song and started writing.”

Hot Chocolate formed in London in the late ‘60s and enjoyed great success in the following decades, with So You Win Again, It Started With A Kiss, You Sexy Thing and No Doubt About it among a string of top 10 singles.
