Muse have shared a lyric video for new track Mercy.
The song appears on the trio's forthcoming studio album, 'Drones', which will be released on June 8. It was premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last night and is the fourth track to be lifted from the band's seventh studio album, following Psycho, Reapers and Dead Inside. Discussing Mercy, which you can check out below, frontman Matt Bellamy said:
“The opening line of Mercy - 'Help me I’ve fallen on the inside'- is a reference to the protagonist knowing and recognizing that they have lost something, they have lost themselves. This is where they realize they’re being overcome by the dark forces that were introduced in Psycho.’”
