Joanna Gruesome have again made the shortlist for the Welsh Music Prize after taking top spot last year.

The punk outift’s ‘Peanut Butter’ album has been included among 15 records on the list for the 2014-15 gong, following up the success of their debut full length, ‘Weird Sister’.

Also in the running are Catfish and the Bottlemen, Paper Aeroplanes, Gwenno, H. Hawkline and Super Furry Animals offshoot Zefur Wolves.

The winners will be revealed at Sherman Cymru in Cardiff on November 26. John Rostron, who created the prize with BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, said:

“We are very proud to announce this year’s shortlist. In light of the fact that over 60 albums in total were put forward we decided to include 15 albums on the shortlist this year. I think the list represents our most diverse edition to date and includes outstanding releases from both established acts and newcomers.”
