Florence and the Machine, Aphex Twin and Wolf Alice are among the Mercury Prize nominees.

Florence Welch is in the running with 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, Aphex Twin with 'Syro' and Wolf Alice for their debut 'My Love Is Cool', with the winners set to succeed Young Fathers. Check out the other nine acts that made the cut below.

  • C Duncan - 'Architect'
  • Roisin Murphy - 'Hairless Toys'
  • Benjamin Clementine - 'At Least For Now'
  • Ghostpoet - 'Shedding Skin'
  • Jamie XX - 'In Colour'
  • Soak - 'Before We Forgot How To Dream'
  • Gaz Coombes - 'Matador'
  • Slaves - 'Are You Satisfied?'

The winner will be announced in London on November 20, with the ceremony to be hosted by BBC 6 Music's Lauren Laverne. The prize's judging panel will include singers Corinne Bailey Rae and Anna Calvi, NME editor Greg Cochrane and DJ MistaJam, among others.
