Stereolab's Tim Gane has announced that Cavern Of Anti-Matter's debut album, 'Void Beats / Invocation Trex', will be released in February.
The record, due February 19, is a collaboration with original Stereolab drummer Joe Dilworth and synth player Holger Zapf. It also features performances by Bradford Cox of Deerhunter and Sonic Boom of Spacemen 3, as well as sound processing from Jan St. Werner from Mouse On Mars.
Discussing Cavern Of Anti-Matter's sound, Gane said:
"Cavern Of Anti-Matter are spectrum addicts, setting up tiny rhythmic cells and expanding on them in certain ways, splitting the melody and stretching out. The melodic movement is much slower due to the lack of words. At the moment, the Cavern sound is more what I want to do"
