Benjamin Clementine Wins Mercury Prize 2015 For 'At Least For Now'

Friday, 20 November 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Benjamin Clementine has won this year's Mercury Music Prize for his debut album 'At Least For Now'.

Released back in March, the singer-songwriter fought off competition from previous winner and bookie favourite Jamie xx, as well as Florence and the Machine, Aphex Twin, Wolf Alice, Eska, C Duncan, Roisin Murphy, Ghostpoet, Soak, Gaz Coombes and Slaves to succeed last year’s surprise winners Young Fathers.

Benjamin Clementine accepted the award from Lauren Laverne at the Radio Theatre in BBC Broadcasting House in London. He gave an emotional dedication to those affected by the recent events in Paris and invited the other nominees onto the stage to join him, before closing the ceremony with a performance.

Benjamin Clementine Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Wed December 02 2015 - GATESHEAD Sage
