 Alex Kapranos is to release a book later this year.
The Franz Ferdinand frontman will not be writing about the band's rock 'n' roll lifestyle though, 'Sound Bites' will feature the singers food columns that he writes for The Guardian newspaper.
The book will also feature some new recipes, and illustrations will be provided by the bands touring drummer and keyboard player Andrew Knowles, who attended the Glasgow School of Art.
Franz Ferdinand will be performing at a number of summer festivals, including The Carling Weekend in Reading and Leeds, T in the Park and Oxygen.
