Sweet Baboo has shared a video for Blowing Up My Mind.
The track is taken from his new 'Dennis' EP, which is set to arrive on February 26 through Moshi Moshi. The six-track record will feature a Christmas song, three covers and two previously unreleased tracks from Stephen Black's 'The Boombox Ballads' album sessions. Discussing the song, he said:
"Blowing Up My Mind is a northern soul classic. It was originally recorded by The Exciters. We recorded it as a B-side to Got To Hang On To You (we namecheck The Exciters and the song in my song). It’s a pretty faithful rendition of the original."
The Welsh singer-songwriter will hit the road next month, making stops in Leicester, Margate, London, Manchester, Sheffield, York and Bath between February 2 and 13. Tickets are on sale now.
