James To Open Glastonbury Festival

Tuesday, 22 March 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

James will open this year's Glastonbury festival.

The Manchester band revealed the news during an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live and are set to get things underway on the Other Stage at 11:00am on June 24. "We're going to cut the ribbon and smash the champagne on the ship," James frontman Tim Booth said.

Glastonbury are yet to confirm or deny it, but organisers recently announced that Adele will headline the festival for the first time, joining Coldplay, Muse, Jeff Lynne's ELO, and PJ Harvey on the line up.

Glastonbury will return to Worthy Farm between June 22 and 26.
