Florence Welch And Vincent Haycock Unveil 'The Odyssey' Short Film And Third Eye Video

Florence Welch and director Vincent Haycock have unveiled a short film, The Odyssey, as well as the video for Third Eye.
The Odyssey brings together all the visuals from Florence and the Machine's most recent album, 'How Big How Blue How Beautiful' into a 47 minute short film, which you can check out here. Discussing the project, Welch said:
“This is the finale of a very personal project that came from a conversation Vince and I had in Chateau Marmont about a year and a half ago while I was writing 'How Big How Blue How Beautiful'. I was talking to him about the record and the car crash of a relationship break up I was going through. The highs and the lows of love and performance, how out of control I felt, the purgatory of heartbreak, and how I was trying to change and trying to be free. And we decided we would re-tell this story in full. We would re-claim this experience, re-imagine it and in some way perhaps I would come to understand it, to exorcise it. And so the Big Blue Odyssey began...”

Florence and the Machine will perform as part of the British Summer Time series on July 2. She will be joined by Kendrick Lamar, Jamie XX , Blood Orange, Cat Power, Todd Terje and the Olsens, Kamasi Washington, Polica, Georgia, Kelsey LU, Khruangbin, Gabriel Bruce, Gwilym Gold and Cloves at Hyde Park in London. Prior to this Welch and her band will head out on a North American tour. Tickets are on sale now.
