Laura Mvula has released a video for her new single, Phenomenal Woman.
The track, inspired by a Maya Angelou poem of the same name, is taken from the singer's sophomore album, ‘The Dreaming Room’, which is set to arrive on June 17 via RCA. Discussing it, Mvula said:
"“I wrote this anthem to raise up our women. We are the givers of life, we are the children bearers, the nurturers, the heroines, we are extraordinary in our ordinariness, we fly, we fight we are Phenomenal Woman’."
Mvula will hit the road for a headline UK tour later this month. Following this she has a handful of performances in the diary for this summer, including Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage on June 26.
