James Bay, Jamie Lawson And Damon Albarn Among 2016 Ivor Novello Winners

James Bay, Jamie Lawson and Damon Albarn were among the winners at the Ivor Novello awards.
The ceremony took place last night at Grosvenor House, London. Bay took home PRS for Music Most Performed Work for Hold Back The River, Jamie Lawson saw off competition from Ed Sheeran and Wolf Alice to win Best Song Musically and Lyrically for Wasn't Expecting That, and Damon Albarn was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
Meanwhile, Adele was awarded Songwriter of the Year, Best Contemporary Song went to James Carter, Oliver Lee, Cass Lowe and Chance The Rapper for All My Friends, Conor O’Brien, aka Villagers, picked up the Album Award for 'Darling Arithmetic' and Happy Mondays - Mark Day, Paul Davis, Paul Ryder, Shaun Ryder and Gary Whelan - received the Ivors' Inspiration Award.
