U2 Announce 30th Anniversary Reissue Of 'The Joshua Tree'

U2 will celebrate the 30th anniversary of 'The Joshua Tree' with a deluxe reissue.
The special edition release of the rock legends' fifth studio album, which will arrive on June 2 via Island Records, will include a live recording of a 1987 Madison Square Garden concert, rarities and b-sides from the LP’s recording sessions, remixes by Daniel Lanois, St Francis Hotel, Jacknife Lee, Steve Lillywhite and Flood, as well as a hardback book of personal photography shot by The Edge during the Mojave Desert photo session in 1986.
U2 will follow up the release with a North American and European tour, on which they will play the record in full each night. The first three dates of the tour, in Vancouver, Seattle and Santa Clara, will be opened by Mumford & Sons, while shows from May 20 to June 7 and June 18 to 28 will see them supported by the Lumineers, and on June 11, 14 and July 1 the opening act will be One Republic. The tour will also include a headline slot at Bonnaroo Festival.
The European leg of the tour will kick off on July 8 at London's Twickenham Stadium, before heading to Berlin, Rome, Barcelona, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels. Support will come from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
