Grandaddy Cancel North American Dates Following Bassist's Death

Thursday, 04 May 2017 Written by Huw Baines

Grandaddy have cancelled their forthcoming North American dates.

The decision follows the death of the band’s bassist, Kevin Garcia, following a stroke. He was 41. “Given the circumstances, we unfortunately have to cancel our upcoming U.S. tour dates,” they said in a statement released to Pitchfork. "We hope to reschedule these at some point in the future.”

The tour had been set to include stops in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Pioneertown.
