Friday, 12 May 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Evanescence have revealed plans to release a new album this autumn.

'Synthesis' will see the band team up with David Campbell, who has arranged the strings on their previous albums, to re-record tracks from their back catalogue with a full orchestra and without "distorted guitars" and "rock drums".

In a video posted to the band's Facebook page, vocalist Amy Lee explained "this album is about orchestra and electronica". Check out the full announcement below.

Evanescence will return to the UK in June for two nights at London's Eventim Apollo. Support will come from Arcane Roots.

Evanescence Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Tue June 13 2017 - LONDON Eventim Apollo
Wed June 14 2017 - LONDON Eventim Apollo
