Five Finger Death Punch To Finish European Tour Without Vocalist Ivan Moody

Thursday, 15 June 2017 Written by Jon Stickler

Five Finger Death Punch will play the remaining dates on their current European tour without vocalist Ivan Moody.

The news follows the Las Vegas metallers' show earlier this week in Tilburg, Netherlands, where the band were forced to play a shortened set after Moody left the stage having told the crowd that the show was his last.

Amid reports of infighting between Moody and his bandmates, the vocalist, who has battled addiction in the past, has issued a statement to the band's official website explaining his current position:

"I am embarrassed and ashamed to admit that I have fallen off the wagon again. I was on shaky ground prior to our performance in Tilburg, and although a lot of the events of that show were out of my control, the shame of not delivering pushed me over the edge. It would not be fair to my bandmates or my fans to continue to perform in my current condition. One of the worst parts of addiction is the loneliness you feel, so having the support of my band and all the knuckleheads is what drives me. I am committed to getting better so I can get back out on stage as soon as possible."

The band have confirmed that Bad Wolves vocalist Tommy Vext, who has stepped in for Moody previously, will fill in during their remaining European shows.

The band have announced another round of UK and European dates for the winter, with In Flames and Of Mice and Men providing support. Tickets are on general sale at 10am on June 16.
