Will Young, Shalamar And The South To Headline South Tyneside Festival

South Tyneside Festival will return to South Shields this summer.
The Sunday concert series will again take over Bents Park, with Will Young (pictured), Shalamar, and the South topping the bill. Also set to perform are the Fizz, Rivelino, Big Red, the Grinners and Beth Macari, with further acts to be confirmed. Young said:
"I've heard great things about the South Tyneside Festival and I’m really looking forward to entertaining the crowd in July. Performing at summer festivals is great fun and there’s always an incredible atmosphere at outdoor concerts."
Organisers also recently announced Ella Henderson will open the series on July 12. Head below for updates.
What? The four-week concerts series are part of a three-month family-friendly programme of entertainment on South Shields seafront.
Where? Bents Park, South Shields.
When? July 18 - August 2.
Who? Ella Henderson, Will Young, Shalamar and the South will headline the festival, with further acts still to be confirmed. The supporting line up features the Fizz, Rivelino, Big Red, the Grinners and Beth Macari.
Tickets? The concerts are free to attend but a limited number of priority tickets are available for £6, guaranteeing early entry and access to dedicated bars and toilets.
