Kehlani Announces New Album 'It Was Good Until It Wasn't'

Monday, 27 April 2020 Written by Sophie Williams

Kehlani has confirmed details of a new LP.

‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t’ is set to arrive on May 8, marking the Grammy-nominated singer’s first full-length release since 2017’s ‘SweetSexySavage’.

Discussing the album's artwork, Kehlani said: “The album cover is a depiction of the never-ending duality of ‘good’ and ‘bad.’ It’s a tale of perspective. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, but clearly something has gotten my attention. Paired with the back cover, we come into the question of is the grass really greener on the other side? Good things are good…until they aren’t. Then, were they ever really good?”

Her two previously shared singles Toxic and Everybody Business are set to feature on ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn't’ — the rest of the tracklist is yet to be confirmed.

Kehlani was set to support Justin Bieber on his North American Changes Tour throughout the summer, but it has been postponed in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The tour is currently awaiting reschedule. Keep up to date in real time with new information via Stereoboard.
