Alison Goldfrapp Shares New Track Love Invention

Alison Goldfrapp has shared a new song, Love Invention.

It’s the title track of her upcoming debut solo album, 'The Love Invention', which is scheduled to arrive on May 12 via Skint Records.

Offering vibrant, synth-pop production with a disco edge, it follows the previously unveiled cuts So Hard So Hot and NeverStop. The vocalist said:

"I was inspired by the idea of a machine or pill that gives you a feeling of complete euphoria. It’s also inspired by the quick-fix self-improvement culture you particularly find on social media that I find slightly humorous. I’m slightly cynical of it but fascinated by it as well."

Known for being one half of the electronic duo Goldfrapp, she'll play a solo show at Outernet, London on May 18, followed by an appearance at Glastonbury Festival in June. In July, she'll take over The Factory as part of Manchester International Festival and headline the Somerset House Summer Series in London.
