Keane are hoping their new album, out on June 12th, will finally shake off the comparisons to fellow UK act Coldplay.
Singer Tom Chaplin has come out to say he finds the constant references as "grating", but does admit that the Chris Martin fronted band had been an inspiration.
Chaplin said: "Even though we probably share a lot of influences, Coldplay have never been a real direct influence on us."
"We find it grating. But I suppose they have been an inspiration - at the beginning people called them 'Sissy bed-wetters' and now they're rock gods."
'Under The Iron Sea' is released next week, pre-order your copy now through our links below (HMV and 7Digital).
